PROPRIETARY 17-1/2' STEERING CABLE USED ON ALL NAUTIQUES FROM 1982 THRU 1990. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THIS CABLE WITH A STANDARD LENGTH ONE, THE BOAT WILL NOT STEER CORRECTLY.

YOU MUST NOW replace with a more standard cable the OLD OEM is no longer made.
