PROPRIETARY 17-1/2' STEERING CABLE USED ON ALL NAUTIQUES FROM 1982 THRU 1990. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THIS CABLE WITH A STANDARD LENGTH ONE, THE BOAT WILL NOT STEER CORRECTLY.

CURRENT REPLACEMENT for the Proprietary Correct Craft special throw 17.5 foot rotary steering cable for all Nautiques from 1982 to 1990. NOTE: YOU MUST NOW replace it with a more standard length cable the OLD S1529 OEM 17-1/2' is no longer made. Here is the link to the replacement standard cable and tiller arm, you need to change both or the boat will not steer safely. Also the support tube will need to be shortened and the clamp block will need to be moved back towards the transom.
