A few late 1996 models may have this 16 degree strut, fits most 97 up Malibu and Axis boats but will NOT fit XTI or FXI models. The previous strut with 1-1/8" shaft used from 1993 thru 1996 was a 15.45 degree strut PT# MLBU000358 (special order). The 1990 to 1992 Struts with a 1" shaft that have "Malibu" cast on them is part # MLBU000357 (special order). The 1984 thru 1989 struts that have N & J on them are part # MLBU000356 (special order). All new struts include traditional style strut bearings. Due to variances in production these dates are just for reference you will need to verify before ordering.
