Works With Teleflex Rotary Helms includes adapter for older threaded connection. Will replace the Proprietary 17-1/2 foot Teleflex cable used on Ski Nautique SN, SPN, MQ, BFN models from 1982 to 1990 but you will need the 1991 up Pt #9993 tiller arm. If the tiller arm is not used the boat will not turn quick enough and could result in an accident or injury. After testing we also found that if you are swapping cables from the S1529 Proprietary cable you'll need to replace the steering support tube, and move the clamping block. You can either cut the tube 2" shorter or get the standard length replacement HERE.
You'll also confirm the position of the support tube to make sure your port/stbd steering is equal (clamping block being about center of the tube typically). The support /clamping block needs to move aft about 3-4 depending on what clearances your boat offers. Our Ski Nautique we moved it 4'' and everything worked out great.
